Student Committee
Student Committee Mission Statement
ABAI Student members constitute a significant proportion of the association's total membership. The ABAI Student Committee's mission is to provide organizational support for ABAI Student members in order to promote participation in ABAI, as well as professional growth, and to enable members to contribute to the science of behavior analysis.
Student Committee Members
The Student Committee of ABAI consists of three Student members who are elected by current Student members to serve three-year terms (current, past, and elect).

Student Award Opportunities
The Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA), as well as many of ABAI's affiliated chapters and special interest groups (SIGs) offer awards for students in behavior analysis. Click here for details.
Presidential Scholar Essay Competition
Student members are invited to write and submit essays about the important contributions of ABAI’s annual Presidential Scholar. Winners of the essay contest will win:
- a publication of the essay in Inside Behavior Analysis
- dinner with the Presidential Scholar and other distinguished ABAI members during the annual convention
- a free one-year subscription to an ABAI journal

Outstanding Mentor Nominations
The Student Committee created the Outstanding Mentor Awards to recognize mentors who go above and beyond for their students. Student members may nominate their mentors for an Outstanding Mentor Award. Click here for details.
