Things To Do Around San Diego

With near-perfect weather year-round, 70 miles of spectacular coastline, world-class attractions, and a thriving cultural hub, complete with a sophisticated art, dining, and nightlife scene, San Diego has earned the name California’s beach city.

Explore San Diego’s diverse coastal and inland neighborhoods, each with its own flavor. Don’t miss sampling the areas signature Cali Baja cuisine or tasting one of the hundreds of craft beers and wines bottled in the region.

After a day at the beach or other outdoor adventure, head to the party downtown at one of the sizzling nightclubs or rooftop bars. If art and culture is your passion, you’ll find an exciting hub of creativity in San Diego. Often referred to as the “Smithsonian of the West,” Balboa Park features 17 museums, numerous galleries and performing arts venues, as well as the San Diego Zoo. San Diego is home to many of Southern California’s top attractions, with plenty of options for adventure-seeking, fun-loving explorers. Have a close encounter with an exotic animal! Take a wild ride down a 375-foot water slide! Step aboard a real aircraft carrier! Or even take a day trip to Disneyland, just a short drive north to Anaheim. In San Diego, the world-famous San Diego Zoo is at the top of the “must see” list but there’s also Legoland, SeaWorld, and The USS Midway Museum.

For nature-lovers, the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is where attendees can enjoy wind-swept sandstone formations and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean along the six hiking trails ranging from easy, family-friendly paths to more advanced trails. Nestled atop the scenic cliffs of La Jolla, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is one of only two places on earth where nature lovers can find the nation's rarest pine tree, the Torrey Pine. More scenic spots include: La Jolla Underwater Park, Sunset Cliffs Hidden Sea Cave, Potato Chip Rock, Annie’s Canyon Trail, Cedar Creek Falls, and the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
