Rachel H. Thompson, professor of psychology and director of the Master’s Program in Applied Behavior Analysis at Western New England University, received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2001. Dr. Thompson is a productive and creative applied researcher. She has played important roles in the development of innovative applications with diverse populations, opening new and important lines of programmatic research. Her work is notable in linking behavioral processes to problems of social importance. She has been a recipient of the B. F. Skinner Foundation New Researcher Award and the Nathan H. Azrin Distinguished Contribution to Applied Behavior Analysis Award from the American Psychological Association’s Division 25. Dr. Thompson has also served as an associate editor of both the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and The Behavior Analyst and was vice president of the Board of Directors of the Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior.
