Dr. Jennifer Zarcone earned her Ph.D. in the experimental analysis of behavior from the University of Florida. She currently serves as associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute, having held previous appointments at the University of Kansas and the Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Zarcone is a nationally recognized researcher, best known for her work in the area of autism and intellectual disabilities, with specialization in the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders. She has published more than 60 influential articles, chapters, and books, and has served as PI or co-PI on numerous federally funded grants. She serves on the editorial boards of multiple behavior analytic journals and as associate editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and has held significant leadership positions in our most important behavior analytic organizations (e.g., coordinator of the ABAI Practice Board, president of the Maryland Association for Behavior Analysis). She is also known as a particularly impactful mentor to her students and junior colleagues.
